Bloduewedd was created from 9 flowers to be the wife of the Celtic god Lugh, who had been cursed to never have a human wife. She was happy until Lugh went off to war and she met another man, who she fell in love with. They ran away together, but when Lugh came home, he chased them down, killed her lover and turned her into an owl as punishment. Her story is one of fighting against "fate" and also the consequences of the decisions you make.
This Renaissance inspired art "Blodeuwedd, Flower Maiden" is a photographic print of the Celtic goddess Blodeuwedd standing with arms outstretched, in a bower of flowers, dressed in a corset and skirt made of flowers, crowned with a wreath.

Print is a 7”x10” Lustre print, Artist’s Proof.
